LITHGOW MERCURY OVERVIEW
Publication Day:Â Friday
Lithgow Mercury is the voice of choice for the Lithgow Valley published bi-weekly in print and online. The strong local news content, sports and social coverage along with regular business features support its high penetration into the local markets of Lithgow, Wallerawang and Portland.
Lithgow is located at the junction of three major highways – The Great Western Highway, Bells Line of Road and the Castlereagh Highway. These provide direct links to the Penrith/Windsor/ Richmond/Sydney areas to the east, Mudgee to the north and the Central West to the west.
Known as the gateway to the West, Lithgow has a diverse range of industrial and agricultural operations. The coal industry is still a major employer. There have also been other enterprises established in the area including the formation of Westfund, now a very significant employer, Ferrero, two universities; Notre Dame and the University of Western Sydney as well as the
State Office building housing the Police Assistance Line (PAL) and State Debt Recovery and more recently, the development of the Emirates Wolgan Valley Resort and Spa making the Lithgow area a destination for many.
This publication uses a T84 Modular layout.
